15 days Uganda and Rwanda safari

This safari will begin in Kigali- Rwanda and ends in Kampala- Uganda. It will enable you do double gorilla tracking both in Rwanda’s volcanoes National Park and Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest N.P both of these parks host the few remaining mountain gorillas in the world and tracking these giants is regarded as the most exciting and unforgettable moment on earth. Day1: arrival and Kigali city
Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be met at greeted by your safari tour guide who will take you for a city tour in Kigali. Places to visit include the Kigali genocide memorial cities where more than 25000 people where buried after the genocide and mostly the Tutsis, visit the National museum; visit the cultural sites, visit art and craft centre, marketing centers among other interesting cities in Kigali if time allows. Day2: Transfer to volcanoes National Park (Park Nationale des Volcans)
Have a morning breakfast and then you will be transferred to Volcanoes National park in Ruhengeri for gorilla tracking which is regarded as the most fascinating activity carried out at the park. Volcanoes national park is one of the few countries that host the few surviving mountain gorillas in the world. On your way to the park you will be amazed by the natural beauty of Rwanda characterized by a thousand hills, have a look on the scenic view and the gorgeous foot hills of the Volcanoes that make up Volcanoes National Park. En rout stopover will be made at the genocide memorial centre at Gisozi, museums, the Moslem Quarter in Nyamirambo, and other historical sites to experience Rwanda’s cultural life style. Day3: gorilla tracking
Have breakfast and then after, report to the park Headquarter to get briefed about gorilla tracking and also to meet your park rangers and escorts. Tracking these giant apes is regarded as the most breathtaking and the most memorable moment on earth. The time you take to meet the gorillas is unpredictable because it depends on their movements, so some levels of physical fitness is required. It’s also recommended to carry with you packed lunch and bottled water, Light rain gear, strong boots, long khaki or jean trouser, non flash cameras among other. Day 4: golden monkey tracking
After breakfast you will again report to the park headquarters to get briefed by the park rangers about golden monkey tracking, after you will be lead to the forest to track these rare golden monkeys and in Rwanda are found in volcanoes national park. Tracking is unpredictable as it can take between 1-6 hours depending on their movements. So packed lunch and bottled water is necessary. After this wonderful moment walk back to the lodge for full lunch. Day 5: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi-Uganda
Have breakfast and then cross the boarder to Uganda and then proceed to Lake Bunyonyi which is regarded as the deepest Lake in Uganda and the 2nd in Africa. The park drives its name because of the very many small birds that live on and around the Lake. After lunch, You will spend the whole day touring the Lake, you will take a boat /canoe ride to visit various islands that are found around and on the Lake and during the boat ride several species of birds will be seen on each island. Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park
Have breakfast and then after transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest via Kibale also know as the Switzerland of Uganda. Bwindi N.P is famously known as a home to a few remaining mountain gorillas in the world over 360 individuals. And tracking these giants is the most memorable moment one should never wish to miss. Day 7: Gorilla tracking.
Have breakfast and then get set for Gorilla tracking but first report to the park headquarters for a short briefing about gorilla tracking. After you will be lead by a guide to the forest to begin the activity which is regarded as the most unforgettable experience on earth. Tracking time is unpredictable as it can take between 1-8 hours; so a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes, packed lunch and bottled water plus other necessary tracking gears. Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have breakfast and then after transfer to queen Elizabeth National Park with packed lunch. Day 9: Chimp trekking and launch cruise

Day 10: transfer to kibale forest national Park
Have breakfast to catch up with an early morning game drive to Kasenyi area of the park. Expect to see lions, Hyenas, Leopards, warthogs, Buffalos, Elephants. Day 11: Chimp trekking and bigodi swamp sanctuary
After breakfast you will be lead by your guide to the park headquarters to get briefed about the tracking process. After, head to the forest to begin the activity of chimpanzee tracking. It is such a wonderful moment to meet our closest relative the chimps. It is advised to pack lunch and bottled water because tracking time is unpredictable, And ounce chimps are found you are strictly allowed to stay with them for only one hour. Day 12: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park
Depart Kibale forest National Park after an early breakfast and head to Murchison falls National Park. The drive may take you about 7-8 hours. Murchison falls is a well protected area with a wide variety of wildlife including giraffe, buffaloes, lions, and elephants to mention but a few. Drive through the Western arm of the Rift Valley, in your vicinity you may also have a chance to see the Lake Albert; continue driving through Masindi and Hoima towns. Lunch break at Hoima. Day 13: game drive and launch cruise
After breakfast, carry out a game drive with a local guide who will assist you sight a number of wildlife. Game drive is carried out in the northern Bank of the River Nile where concentrations of games is a common sight, look out for elephants, giraffes, antelopes, lions leopards hyenas and many bird species are a common sight.
