This safari will take you to the most gifted national park in Uganda which hosts the few remaining endangered mountain gorillas in the world, and tracking these giants is regarded as the most breathtaking activity done at the park, not only gorillas but also other primate species are recorded in the area such as the black and white colobus monkeys, it’s also a habitant to a variety of bird species over 346 species including 23 Albertine rift endemicas, the rwenzori turaco, purple breasted sun bird among other. Don’t forget the cultural walk to meet the local people and learn more about their culture.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to bwindi Impenetrable Forest
You will be picked up by your tour guide, gets you briefed about the safari and drive you to the south western part of Uganda via Mbarara town to Bwindi. We shall make a first stop over at the Uganda Equator for some photo taking and snacks. We shall then proceed to Mbarara for a lunch break at Regency Hotel/Agip Motel or its equivalent. After lunch we shall continue through Uganda’s rolling green hills through the highlands, also known as the ‘Switzerland of Uganda’, we then drop down into a valley, to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. We may spot some games on the way to the park such as warthogs, buffaloes among others. Bwindi impenetrable forest is a home of the few surviving mountain gorillas in the world. Arrive in the evening. Dinner and an overnight stay at; Gorilla Forest Camp/Mahogany springs for luxury/Lake Kitandara Tented Comp/ Silver Back lodge for midrange/ Buhoma Community Bandas for budget

Day 2: Gorilla tracking
Have breakfast and then get set for Gorilla tracking but first report to the park headquarters for a short briefing about gorilla tracking which is regarded as the most unaffordable experience on earth. Tracking time is unpredictable; a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes, packed lunch and bottled water plus other necessary tracking gears. Sit in the forest among the gorillas, listening to them grumble to each other, and marvel at the cheer size of the dominant male; the silverback. It is such an amazing feeling sitting in the dense rainforest knowing you are with a few of the last remaining mountain gorillas in the world. But you are only allowed to spend one hour with these gentle giants ounce found. After transfer back to the lodge for a rest. OR if you have the energy take a guided village walks to nearby communities to observe and experience the different aspects of Ugandan lives, cultures and lifestyles. Day3: departure
