The safari will take you to Queen Elizabeth national park for a game drive and launch cruise on to the Kazinga Channel which connects Lake Edward and George. This is one of the parks in Uganda with a wide range of wildlife such as buffaloes, elephants, lions, warthogs , water buck various species of antelopes to mention but a few, so these 3 days safari to queen Elizabeth national park will not leave you the same.
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel by your tour guide after breakfast at your hotel, gets you briefed about the safari. After he will drive you to the Southwestern part of Uganda up to the Park. Stop over will be made at the Equator for photographs and some informative talks, after proceed to Mbarara where you will have lunch from. From here you will continue with your journey up to the park, along side the road you may look out to see Ankole long horned cattle, tea and banana plantations among other. Arrive at the park in the afternoon. Proceed to your lodge for a rest. If you have energy you may go for an evening game drive to Kasenyi Area of the Park. Here you may be able to see a range of wildlife such Uganda kobs, elephants, water buck, warthogs, lions, hyenas, buffaloes, giant forest hogs and bushbuck plus various species of birds, visit the salt Lake among others. A slow drive will be made back to the lodge for an overnight stay at: Mweya Safari Lodge/ Katara Lodge for luxury/ Kyabura game Lodge /samba Safari Lodge for midrange/ Enganzi for budget
Day 2: game drive and launch cruise
Have breakfast to catch up with an early morning game drive towards Kasenyi area of the park. Expect to see lions, Hyenas, Leopards, warthogs, Buffalos, Elephants. Uganda kobs, hyenas, plus various species of birds. A slow drive will be made back to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon after lunch, go for a unique 2 hour’s boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward, where you may spot hippos, crocodiles, along side other species of animals that feed along the water shores such as elephants, buffaloes, water buck among other. This boat cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. Day 3: departure
Have breakfast with lunch en route to Kampala, and then transfer to your Hotel/ airport depending on your scheduled flight back home.
